First Step Wood Sealer
Sealing wood is an important "First-Step" in the painting process. Grain rises when paint or water, etc. is applied to raw wood. Sealing and sanding your wood first solves this problem and one coat of First-Step is all that is necessary!
J.W. etc. First-Step is non-toxic, water based and odorless when dry. Dries in just minutes (never gels). After using FIRST-STEP you may stain with oil or acrylic stain. FIRST-STEP eliminates warping and seals wood-knots.
Mix First-Step with the paint of your choice for first coat coverage. Simply mix 1/3 First-Step and 2/3 any brand of acrylic paint. This leaves a beautiful linen like base coat.
It's so easy to use. Apply with a sponge or brush, let stand for approximately 20 minutes , or until dry-to-touch, then proceed to sand and tack. Clean up is easy with water.
FIRST-STEP is perfect for any fabric covered project, too.

UnderCover Primer/Sealer by J W etc

This product is used by the Movie Studios for their sets.
UnderCover is a great beginning! The new opaque primer is water-based, non-toxic and environmentally friendly. This special formula was created to prepare almost any surface. Its thick gesso-like coat makes it amazingly fast and easy, but without the chalky feel sometimes left by gesso products. Once applied, you will be ready to begin your artwork. You can mix with any color paint to create great variations.
Tips for using UnderCover
* UnderCover can be used to prime canvas using a small roller.
* UnderCover prepares and seals raw exterior plywood to keep sap from bleeding through and to provide a smooth painting surface.
* Use it on aluminum to prep for painting.
* UnderCover covers glass, tin, wood, canvas, paper and plastic!

Tips for using White Lightning Click here
White Lightning combines a sealer with a white stain in one water-based product. Use it for the perfect prep or basecoat. It's ideal for all woods, including green wood, as it prevents seeping through. White Lightning may also be mixed with any brand of acrylic paint to obtain a color-pickled effect on wood - or add just a touch of paint for a "customized" stain.
A thin coat of White Lightning may be applied over any brand of acrylic paint to achieve a "white antiqued" look. For the popular "White Wash" look, apply White Lightning over oil-based stain.
White Lightning may be used on wood (including cabinets, walls and floors), canvas, candles and glass! It may be used in a spray bottle to decorate wreaths and baskets. White Lightning Plaque
To achieve special and unusual effects, try the "wet-on-wet" technique. Use acrylic paint over wet White Lightning as a medium. Also works great to streak acrylic color over wet White Lightning for a softer "dry brush" effect.

Formula II Creme Brush Cleaner 4 OZ
J.W. etc. Formula II Creme Brush Cleaner is an effective cleaner for both oil and acrylic paint. It can even remove paint stains from clothes!
Formula II revitalizes old brushes (natural or synthetic) and restores the fine chisel. It is non-petroleum based and is non-toxic with a fresh aroma. The cleaner contains lanolin and is safe and kind to your hands. Dirty brushes can be dressed in Formula II and placed in a plastic bag for clean-up later. Repeated use will not harm your finest brushes.
Easy to use. First clean with soap and water to remove most of the paint or stain. Then work Formula II into the bristles to remove all traces of paint or stain.
