These new movements have a second hand that moves in a smooth continuous motion, rather then the stepping motion of most quartz movements. This change not only affects the appearance of the clocks you make, but continuous sweep movements also have the added benefit of being quieter. You will not hear the “clicking” sound every second.

• Complete with 1 set of hands, brass washer, hex nut, and open nut to use with second hand included in price including sweep second hand. If you do not want a second hand, let us know and we will send a closed nut

Make selection of minute/hour and second hands when purchasing movements. One set of hands and 1 second hand per movement

• American "I" shaft diameter 5/16"
• Runs on 1 "AA Battery

• 5/8" For Dials up to 1/4" thick
• 3/4" For Dials up to 3/8" thick
• 7/8" For Dials up to 1/2" thick
• These have a steady movement of the second hand and do not have the very slick ticking movement that the standard quarts ones have. The standard movement has what they call a step on the second hand moving. Otherwise they are both equal in accuracy. I have not had problems with either one of them.
